Diesel Truckers is a different type of album from Keith and Kurt, it's not about aliens, it's not about shitting on people it's mostly about truckin', life on the road, the big wheelers, the crappy diners in the middle of no where.
Diesel Truckers starts out with fire with one of my favourite Kool Keith tracks "Diesel Truckers Theme". Kurts beats are massive and Keiths lyrics are truckin' personified.
The problem is that this lifts the album to such high expectations which it doesn't really live up to.
Thats not to say that the rest of the album is garbage, it's not, it just doesn't reach the same levels as this track.
The next track "The Orchestrators" is pretty good, it's not about truckin', it's more about the rap industry.
The next track of interest is "Mental Side Effects" where Keith accuses Andre 3000 (Outkast) of imitating him, then extends an olive branch to do a track together.
Keith also takes a jab at Ghostface Killah on Bamboozled:
The women chose me,
over guess who?
Pretty Tony"
On "Kenworths With Wings" starts to wind down the album with the only sci-fi track.
Overall it's a good album, just not great.
It has its moments, but a lot of it just isn't that exciting.
