A bit slow to update this week, but here they are:
  • DJ Premier – Keith "Guru" Elam Tribute Mix (mp3 album). Guru was a legend - doesn't really need stating. Requiescat in pace.
  • Thaione Davis - Emanuelle's Theme Music (instrumentals) (mp3 album). Warning: The tracks are not tagged.
  • Mulatto Patriot - Sonic Visuals Instrumentals (mp3 album). Haven't had a chance to download as it was going very slow for me.
  • Infinito 2017 - "Analog B Boy" (YouTube). Produced by The Geaux and from the album Outer Body Experience 9.0: Thinking the Unthinkable which is scheduled for a September release. Great track, dudes crazy prolific - don't burn out, take a holiday or something man.
  • Ayatollah Jaxx Of Good Company - "Sucka For Love Part Duex" (mp3). Does this download link work for anyone? I haven't been able to download usershare.net files for a while now, maybe big brother is blocking these legitimate links.

I would also like to quote this tweet from Macron1 as a non-official conclusion to the review "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" from "Shut Up, Dude" (Das Racist) is the stupidest piece of shit i ever listened to. Good mixtape tho.

March Round Up - Greatest Twits/The Sardless Continues
Written by row1

March (or Maaliskuu for the Finnish readers) is dead and buried, but the musical memories live on and so we shall reminisce.
This month I have been listening to Inspectah Deck - Manifesto, Infinito 2017 - We are Dark and DJBooth.net Presents Neak 84' Vol. 2 (The Silent Fiasco). Macron1 has been thrashing some tracks from Javelin, Gonjasufi and Kaigen21Meiso.

Macron1 Presents: March Round Up - Greatest Twits/The Sardless Continues

Number of Tweets: 172 (5.5ish / day)

The free availability of musical wares online currently is something akin to the .com bubble of the late '90s/early '00s. For some reason there is a glut of free content of varying utility to be had, FOR FREE, with some vague idea behind it all that giving stuff away for free will somehow get you noticed (occasionally works) and consequently RICH & FAMOUS (usually doesn't).

Consequently, one should be taking advantage of these crazy times to make out like a pig in s__t and enjoy the 10s of megabytes worth of music dispensed hourly on the internets, some of which in March was parlayed via the @sardless twitter. Read on for a summary of what happened back there in March.

March 3: 50 tracks++ worth of mixtape. Did you get this? I know I COMPLETELY forgot to. ALSO: mild pun: Feb Mix feat. GZA all the way from Nottingham(Kevin) http://kevinnottingham.com/2010/03/01/kevinnottingham-com-february-2010-mixtape/

March 9: Outstanding achievement in the field of BTS radio broadcasts. If you haven't got this already, go to http://www.btsradio.com and get it, get them all!!!!!: HUDSON MOHAWKE LIVE ON BTS RADIO (http://bit.ly/c9aeWr) is awesome cos of Audrey 3000's cover of ODB's classic 'Baby I Got Your Money'. (Never one to be 5 years late on something, see Audrey 3000s baffling video here)

March 10: What is it called when you try and force your opinions on others? Being a jerk? I dunno. But that is what these kinds of posts are ALL ABOUT (the views expressed in the following tweet are not necessarily those of sardless Inc.): Two sardless favs AT THE SAME TIME RT @_HEALTH_ P4K posted Track 3 of DISCO2: http://pitchfork.com/forkcast/14025-in-heat-javelin-remix/

March 11: I know I keep banging on about these, but they are really fucking great: low end theory podcast = best shit ever. and free. u are so lucky. http://lowendtheoryclub.com/podcast/

March 11: Ahhhhhh memes. You never seem as good a week after you were something: for those of you not sufficiently impressed by the Battlestar Galactica/Sabotage remake, heres both AT THE SAME TIME http://bit.ly/91qYjo

Match 13: This weird love letter from Diplo to Maya Arulpragasam (@_M_I_A_) contained a veritable treasure trove of early 'aughts Diplo/Hollertronix. Like 4 or 5 semi-album/EP/Mixtape collections worth: RT @diplo learn more about old me!!!! @_M_I_A_ (+free stuff) http://bit.ly/aBPuu1 heaps of mixtapes for listening

March 14: Interesting for those interested: RT @RAEKWONICEWATER RT @JumpOffTV: @Raekwonicewater & Kool Herc reminisce about ODB http://bit.ly/c0qDFp

March 14: After earlier in the month reviewing "Root Is The New Leaf" by Kaigen21Meiso, a free compilation from Takaba Records featuring both Kaigen and Meiso, along with a host of others, is exposed for yall. It is… GOOD: for free compilation featuring unreleased tracks from Noah23, Kaigen, Meiso, Omid et al http://www.takabarecords.com/?page_id=11

March 16: West Coast Blues is a technical feat. That is all. Get it if you want some chin-scratching musics: stage kid(s) band camp page — lots of free awesome of the math/technical/instrumental rock bent. http://jasondjsus.bandcamp.com/

March 18: Dilla does/did "Safety Dance" instrumental. NOT BAD. Personally I like this version better (WARNING: horrible, horrible video that cannot be unseen tho): Not bad, not bad. Works well without lyrics RT @stonesthrow NY Mag on J Dilla's flip of Safety Dance http://is.gd/aNz1f

March 23: So I did eventually get around to listening to this, indeed the dude does ruin some songs, but not in a bad way. Worth some listening time for sure, barely murders that "Walkabout" song by Atlas Sound, which might piss someone off: Free Album (have not listened ITS UP TO U) RT @ALPHAPUP: RT @IntuitionRaps: Intuition - "I Ruined These Songs For You" http://bit.ly/cF1hGa

March 23: After dating this dude, you might need a hysterectomy. Additionally, Busdriver claims he will deliver a mixtape at some point called "Computer Cooties". I am fully jazzed for this, except he claims every track will contain ACTUAL COMPUTER COOTIES that will destroy your computer. Be warned (see this post also): episode of the "Homies" featuring @Busdriverr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBHBzTddaFo

In news related to that last post, if you go to the http://dumbfoundead.com/ link supplied for this episode, there is a free 7 track album "Jam Session 2.0." for your consumption. THANKS DUDE.

March 28: Never one to judge a book by its cover (follow the link you'll see why), here is a free album mixed by past sardless reviewee Statik Selektah. Let me know how it goes for you... : ... RT @StatikSelekt: yall heard the cd i mixed for @JoeScudda - Get it here!! http://bit.ly/dwCtVF

March 30: Full Curse Ov Dialect show stream of a recently recorded Triple R Radio show, experimentally linked using the shortest URL shortener to date http://to./ for extra extreeeeeeeeeeeme : @CurseOvDialect's @3RRRFM Autumn Almanac gig (22/3) stream in GLORIOUS HD in case you missed it the first time round: http://to./3feg

There you go, part of an entire months worth condensed. Obviously there is MUCH MUCH more to be had given we had 170-odd tweets last month, why not take a look and see what else might be had. Heaps of other weird stuff happened, like that whole RZA (@RZAWU) thing where he was talking about his portrait being the greatest piece of art of the 21st century (check it here, it is stoooopid/hilarious and only like $USD1000).

Be sure to follow @sardless for more and more of this kind of thing. See you in MAY 2010.

Special thanks to Poncho for flippin' us the sweet bird as presented above.
