This is part one and this is part two.

5. You Slut! - Medium Bastard This one gets in because it has guitars and stuff. It was good, but not mind-blowingly so or anything. Still worth several listens. |

4. Heems - Nehru Jackets Feel bad because this one was probably better than the entire Das Racist album (except Girl, that was the song of 2011, I lost my virginity to that song). |

3. Jonwayne - Oodles of Doodles This one is/was a beat-tape, think it qualifies for this list. It is good and has 48 tracks of varying interest. It has this one track terrible track called 'Cassidy Remix' that literally sounds as if jonwayne just put on a tape of that "Drink and My Two Step" song and then another tape of some shitty guitaring that is purposely half a step out of beat with the other track and then recorded the resulting mush. It is so bad there is no longer any trace of this track on the Stones Throw website. The rest of the album though, it is really good stuff to put on and punch out a 30,000 word essay about something or to put on while you drive for 40 minutes to work or etc. |

2. Busdriver - Beaus$Eros Busdriver released an album in first half 2012, so you know it has to be added it here. Probably like this album as much as any other album he has released. That being said, I don't think he makes great records and I mostly enjoy his crazy shit e.g. that mixtape from a few years ago or his lame twitter account or those times when he visits me in Melbourne every 4 years or so, those are the special things. This album just helps me during everything else. |

1. The DHDFDs - French Fries Rounding out the list is this. The tags on bandcamp for this are: alternative / punk rock / spazz / math rock / noise rock / pop rawk / Auckland. It is all those things and it came out in April 2012 so qualifies for this. Great music for running and planning a meal. |
